Scouts
What are Scouts?
Scouts are aged between 10½ and 14 years. The Scout Troop is the third and final Section in our Scout Group, where you will start to learn important life skills and about responsibility, respect and, eventually, leadership.
What Do Scouts Do?
Scouts are encouraged to take part in a wide range of activities as part of their programme. "Getting involved" rather than "being the best" is the idea. There are several Challenge Badges leading to the Chief Scout's Gold Award and there are many different Activity Badges too. Scouts also go on summer and weekend camps where they take part in lots of adventurous outdoor activities. A lot of the skills learnt in Scouts are invaluable life skills such as; team work, leadership, communicating with others and first aid. Lots of these skills are highly valued in further education and by employers.
