Cubs
What are Cub Scouts?
Cubs are aged between 8 and 10 1/2 years. They take part in a wide range of fun activities as well as completing badges. They move on to the Scout section around the age of 10 1/2, usually moving on with groups of friends.
What Do Cub Scouts Do?
There are loads of fun things that you can do as a Cub Scout. You will get a chance to try lots of different activities like swimming, pond dipping, I.T skills, navigation and collecting. There are Challenge Badges leading to the Chief Scout's Silver Award and many Activity Badges too. Cub Scouts also go on trips and days out, to places like the zoo, a farm, swimming, hiking and cycling. You will be able to go camping with other Cubs from around the district at the District Cub Camp (usually in September) and with the rest of our Scout Group (usually in May). This will mean sleeping in a tent and doing loads of outdoor activities, whilst learning valuable scouting and life skills.
